Paddle past the breaking crest, turn toward the beach, and start paddling before the swell reaches you. Pop up when the wave carries you.

Tideline rewards reading the water. A longer ride on a small, open wave is a better starting goal than chasing the biggest set.
At Little Cove, press E at the rack to take Daybreak. Walk into knee-deep water and press E again to lie on the board. Paddle beyond the breaking crest, turn toward the beach, and start paddling before the swell reaches you. Press Space once the wave is carrying you.
If the foam keeps pushing you back, build paddling speed and press C just before it arrives. Daybreak and Meridian turtle-roll; the shortboards duck dive. Neither move makes an early or late entry into heavy whitewater harmless.
Little Cove peels left. Angle toward the open shoulder instead of riding straight into the flat water ahead. Drop down the face to gain speed, then use a smooth A or D turn to climb again. Hold W while linking those turns to pump; holding W on flat water will not propel a standing surfer.
Clean face rides and carves earn points. Use S briefly when you need to slow down, then release it to glide. If you lose the wave, lie down with Space and paddle back out for another set.
Points are lifetime milestones, so unlocking a board does not spend them. Meridian opens at 250 points; 500 unlocks both the car keys and Twin Palms. Find the yellow car above Little Cove and press E at the driver’s door. Follow the road signs to the new beach.
Pocket arrives at 850 points. Vector and Glass Point open at 1,300; Bolt and North Shore follow at 1,900. Collect Vector or Bolt from a rack at Twin Palms or either reef beach. The progression panel shows your next reward and the points still needed.
Glass Point peels right, with barrels on its larger sets. North Shore has shifting A-frame peaks and both shoulders, but its biggest sets close out across the reef. Wait for an open shoulder rather than assuming every large wave has an exit.
While standing, hold C to crouch under a pitching lip. A short stall can put you deeper, but you need speed to get back out. If you get lost on land, open the Escape menu for Return to Little Cove, car recovery when available, and the full surf guide.
